When the request gets big
Hi,
We have a customer who is currently using a /22, plus some other smaller
networks, of our /19. They are now launching a wireless network
that initially would fit within another /22. We don't have a contiguous
/22 available, and it looks like this customer will grow even more.
What are the pros and cons of them seeking their own APNIC membership?
Is the fact that their upstream provider (us) is currently unable to
fulfill their IP request a valid reason for getting their own provider-
independent space?
To keep our routing simple I would like them aggregated as a single network,
and, it seems that renumbering these equipment which are located in
remote sites will be hard. Thus we would like to start out with the
proper IP networks.
Any comments?
Thanks,
