I agree with Philip that if there is no accompanying proposal describing how the final /8 should be managed by APNIC, then this proposal has no apparent benefit over just letting the pool run out through the existing procedures in place.

I therefore also oppose the proposal as it stands.

Oppose.

While the proposers have gone a long way to answering the many concerns
expressed, there is still no specific APNIC region proposal as to what
to do with the special remaining IPv4 addresses. So all this effort will
be wasted if the proposal is approved, as there are no safeguards.

I'd rather see a proposal on what APNIC should be doing with the last /8
they get. I think that is what prop-56 intends, but it isn't explicitly
stated as such in this proposal, or on prop-56 for that matter.

Maybe prop-55 and prop-56 authors can get together and sort out their
dependencies. With that, I may change from "oppose" to "no opinion". ;-)
