Dear APNIC Member,
Here is a final announcement about the coming APNIC Open Policy Meeting and
Annual Member Meeting, to be held next week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The APRICOT 2001 conference runs from Monday 26 February to Friday 3 March
and the APNIC Open Policy Meeting will be held as a "track" of content
within APRICOT. The APNIC Annual Member Meeting will be held on Friday 3
March.
APNIC Open Policy Meeting
-------------------------
If you have not registered for APRICOT 2001, please do so by visiting the
APRICOT web site at:

The APRICOT programme is available on the APRICOT website, but for detailed
information about the APNIC Open Policy Meeting (including full details of
SIGs and other events), please visit:
http://www.apnic.net/meetings
During APRICOT week, please visit us at the APNIC Information Desk for any
APNIC-specific information you may need. This will be located in the
vicinity of the APRICOT registration area, and attended by APNIC staff
during conference hours.
At the APNIC Information Desk, you can book for Hostmaster Consultation
sessions, submit a Certificate Request Form (to obtain an APNIC digital
certificate), or register for the Annual Member Meeting and Social Event
(see below). Also be sure to check the APNIC Message Board for any personal
messages, agenda updates and other news.
APNIC Annual Member Meeting
---------------------------
If you will attend the APNIC AMM on Friday 2 March, please be sure to
register for this meeting, either onsite at the APNIC Information Desk, or
on the APNIC web site, at:
http://www.apnic.net/apnic-bin/registration.pl
This meeting is held primarily for APNIC members, however it is open to all
interested parties (for a non-member registration fee of US$50).
Your preregistration will help up greatly in planning for expected
participation. Also, if you wish to attend the APNIC social event (a
cultural night tour of Kuala Lumpur), registration is essential in order to
ensure a place on the tour.

APNIC EC Election
-----------------
An important part of the APNIC AMM will be election of 3 members of the
APNIC Executive Council. For further details, please visit the EC Election
web page at:

If you are unable to attend the AMM, you may submit a Proxy Voting Form
which will enable another APNIC member to vote on your behalf. This form is
also available on the EC Election web page above, but please note the
deadline for submission of the form to APNIC.
