Continuing discussion --------------------- Here are some questions to help discussion continue: - Do you support or oppose this proposal?
Oppose. While the proposers have gone a long way to answering the many concerns expressed, there is still no specific APNIC region proposal as to what to do with the special remaining IPv4 addresses. So all this effort will be wasted if the proposal is approved, as there are no safeguards.
I'd rather see a proposal on what APNIC should be doing with the last /8 they get. I think that is what prop-56 intends, but it isn't explicitly stated as such in this proposal, or on prop-56 for that matter.
Maybe prop-55 and prop-56 authors can get together and sort out their dependencies. With that, I may change from "oppose" to "no opinion". ;-)

- Can this proposal be implemented along with other proposals at APNIC or does its implementation mean that other proposals cannot be implemented? - Do you see any advantages in the proposal? - Do you see any disadvantages in this proposal? - Is there anything in the proposal that is not clear? - What changes could be made to this proposal to make it more effective?
