Re: [sig-policy] report on prop-058: Proposal to create IPv4 shared use
My reasons for supporting this proposal are to ensure an appropriate
business outcome while ensuring a smooth transition to IPv6.
The dual-stack/double NAT V4/V6 architecture we are examining will
require some extra private space.
My constraints in doing so are set in stone.
1) Our customer devices will not work with class E space (tested)
2) Our customer devices do not have a "decent" NAT stack (tested)
3) Our customer devices use a wide mix of RFC 1918 space (well known)
I have > 1,000,000 customer devices, I can't replace them.
I know there are other service providers in the region in the same
position.
Open to all sensible reasoned suggestions.
