APNIC welcomes comments, questions, and suggestions on the following
policy proposal:

Final call for comments: [prop-038-v001] "Amending APNIC's lame DNS
reverse delegation policy"

This is the final call for comments on policy proposal [prop-038-v001]
"Amending APNIC's lame DNS reverse delegation policy".
This proposal was presented at APNIC 22 and was accepted by consensus.
The proposal is now submitted to the Policy SIG mailing list for an
eight-week discussion period. At the end of that period, if consensus
appears to have been achieved, the Chair of the Policy SIG will
ask the Executive Council to endorse the proposal for implementation.

This proposal modifies the definition of lame DNS to be consistent with
the definitions used by the other RIRs. Under the proposal, if a
delegated nameserver for a domain fails to return a valid authoritative
answer for the domain’s SOA, it will be considered to be lame. The
proposal also simplifies the process for monitoring and removing lame
reverse DNS delegations.
