[sig-policy] just the opinion about IPv6 bootstrap period from Yong Wan
Dear all,
To begin with, I would like to send my warmest thanks to RIRs for your effort on IPv6 promotion.
However, let's me set forth my opinion about IPv6 bootstrap period.
Personally, I agree with the extension of bootstrap phase as possible solution.
What is more, 100 allocations in one region or 200 allocations globally and not mort than 100
in one region as RIPE set foth in their 39th meeting.
Because, as you already know, APNIC are covering about 62 economies under that region,
if there is no enough Sub-TLA registies over 100 in this region, it is very difficult for
organizations requesting IPv6
to satisfy the initial general criteria, peering relationship over 3 Sub-TLAs, after bootstrap
period.
And additionally, though there is a lot of problems to be solved, IPv6's quick promotion seems to be
one of
important factors for Internet future.
I hope all of you have a nice day....
Yong Wan Ju
