      Dear colleagues
      
      This is your invitation to attend APNIC's 21st Open Policy
      Meeting, to be held in conjunction with APRICOT 2006 from 27
      February to 3 March 2006 at the Perth International Conference Hall,
      Perth, Australia.

      1.  Registration open
      ----------------------------
      Register for APNIC 21, including the APNIC Member Meeting
      (AMM) and APRICOT 2006 sessions, via the APRICOT 2006 site at:

      You receive an early bird discount if you register before 14 January 2006. If you are an APNIC member, you receive an additional 25 percent discount by
      choosing the "APNIC Member" option and supplying your APNIC account
      name on the registration form. If you do not know your account name or
      need any other help with meeting registration, please contact us at

      2.  Meeting programme
      -------------------------------
      APNIC is working closely with the APRICOT organisers to deliver a
      first-class programme of conference and training sessions. APNIC will
      facilitate one tutorial and one conference track during APRICOT 2006.
      
      The programme includes:
      
          Pre-conference workshops  22 - 26 February
          Tutorials                                   27 - 28 February
          Conference                             1 -  2 March
          APNIC Member Meeting       3 March
      
      The APNIC tutorial track includes "Maximising your IP address potential"
      and "Practical introduction to IPv6". The APNIC conference track
      
      includes IPv6 technical, NIR, IX, DNS operations, Policy, Database, and Routing
      SIGs. Further details of the prgramme are available at:

      3.  Meeting sponsorship
      --------------------------------
      Some sponsorship opportunities are still available. Sponsor
      organisations are given valuable opportunities to expose their

      4.  Visa requirements
      -------------------------------
      Some visa applications to Australia can take up to ONE MONTH to be
      processed. Therefore, we strongly recommended that you contact your
      local Australian Consular Offices as soon as possible to determine
      whether you will need a visa to enter Australia.
      
      You must complete the meeting registration and hotel reservation before
      submitting the visa application. For help with visa applications,
