Testing transition mechanisms in IPv6-only networks
      ---------------------------------------------------

By Timothy Winters on 11 August 2020

Moving to an IPv6-only network makes a lot of economical sense in the
long run, but it has its challenges.

Timothy Winters road-tested several tools that allow network operators
to test their network before actually carrying out a transition process.

RPKI slowly catching on in Australia and New Zealand
      ----------------------------------------------------

By Aftab Siddiqui on 18 August 2020

In the last three years, the number of valid Route Origin Authorizations
(ROAs) has increased quite a lot in both Australia and New Zealand.

The author sent trace routes around 160 networks in Australia and New
Zealand to see if they could be reached and were practicing Route
Origin Validation. The results show which networks still accepted
      invalid prefixes.

Chromium's impact on root DNS traffic
      -------------------------------------

By Matthew Thomas on 21 August 2020

Chromium is the open-source software at the foundation of Google's
Chrome as well as other browser products.

However, its 'omnibox' feature has an interface challenge that creates
      additional load on the DNS
