If I can have some material, I can say something for Suguru Yamaguchi (although I am not in security group). But I am the local host, and close friend in Taiwan.
I think Jun could of course speak including online presence. I also like to ask someone outside Japan, and in the security community hopefully, to celebrate his contribution to us all.
A farewell meeting/ceremony will be held in the near future, thus we may prepare some message by, if possible, all AP Internet community, or at least APrIGF community to be shared on that occasion.
Second is to make a short intervention perhaps at the Opening ceremony of Taipei APrIGF.
I’m sure that the condolences of the entire APNIC community go to Suguru’s family and close friends, and his many colleagues, at Nara, JPCERT, WIDE and JPNIC.
This is truly a great and very sad loss for all of us.
Paul.

Dear Friends,
I am of course one of those who have been really saddened to learn Suguru passed away.
I express my deepest condolence to his family.
The funeral services were kept private and done now, then the news is gone public.
I have learned until now that a "farewell gathering" is now being planned to be held in mid June, as well as 20th anniversary of AIII and SOI-Asia at ITB will hold some memorial events.
May he rest in peace.
Sincerely,
MAEMURA Akinori, JPNIC

I just learned that Mr. Suguru Yamatuchi, one of the very early pioneers
of Internet in Asia Pacific, with strong focus on Security, contributed
the establishment of AP CERT, among others, passed away on May 9th.
I do not remember if Suguru came to one of APrIGF meetings, but he was
the regular member of APNG, APAN, etc. and am sure many of MSG members
here know him well, and thus like to share this sad news.
