Hi Masato, thank you for the answer. It does help understand ARINs position in light of the discussion we are having here. I have removed Sandra from CC (I think she follows the list anyway) because she has clearly stated that she wants to wait and see what happens with the RIPE policy proposal before she makes an other policy proposal. Plus, the proposal we plan to make here will be "a different kettle of fish than the policy" Sandra has written. As far as I can see, we have two options. 1. we wait until ARIN runs out and see if they decide to relax their transfer policy 2. we go ahead and remove DN from APNIC's policies Basically, this means that this community will have to chose to either keep DN (just because ARIN requires it) or remove DN and have a compatible Inter-RIR transfer policy with RIPE but no longer with ARIN. I personally think it is worth waiting for an other 6 months and we could come up with this policy proposal in time for APNIC39. I hope we will have time during the Policy SIG sessions at APNIC38 to discuss the DN and get a feeling about what the community wants. If acceptable by the Chairs, I'll try to come up with a short presentation and ask for a 15 minutes slot to discuss. What does the community think? Kind regards, Elvis On 07/06/14 00:35, Masato Yamanishi
