No, I completely agree... and feel very bad for the Thai's... this is
the second time they've lost out and been unable to host the APNIC
conference.
I don't think my email suggested that I disagreed about the personal
safety issue.... I wouldn't go to Bangkok right now, and I love the
place and hope things settle down sometime soon as I need some shirts
and suits made with all this weight loss ;-)

APRICOT changed their venue to Kuala Lumpur. If APNIC
haven't done so, they ought to, as well.
