[apnic-talk] Re: SIG Chairs/Co-chairs requirements
Hi Gaurab,
Thanks for bringing this up and the interest shown.
With regard to SIG chairs commitments, details are in the pdf
document called SIG administrative procedures in http://www.apnic.net/
meetings/archive/sigs/index.html
Chairs and co-chairs are voluntary positions and they continue to
serve in their role until either:
they voluntarily resign, or
there is a consensus of the SIG members that they should
stand down
Although every effort is being made by chairs/co-chairs to attend
APNIC meetings so they can facilitate their respective SIG sessions,
we do receive apologies from those that can't make it for reasons
beyond their control.
trust this helps,

Hi,
Is there some requirements for being a APNIC sig co-chair. I am
asking because even after seven or so APNIC meetings i have
attended, i haven't meet all the SIG chairs and co-chairs.
Is there a minimum time commitment or contribution required? If not,
may be there needs to be one.
