A limited number of fellowships are available to participants in the
South Asian Regional Internet Training, a part of Networking South Asia.
These fellowships are funded primarily by the Infodev Programme.
The Fellowship Programme targets personnel from the South Asian region
who are actively involved in Internet Technology and Development as
* Engineers (Network Builders & Architects).
* Educators and trainers in this field.
The Fellowships will cover one or both of the following
* Travel: Round Trip Air fare from a South Asian country to
Colombo and back.
* Accommodation: on a shared basis during the workshop and
tutorials (approx 7 days).
Participants *must* pay the workshop/tutorial registration fee of USD
160. The fellowship will *not* cover this fee.
Women, people belonging to minority/disadvantaged groups, serving
minority /disadvantaged groups, working to bridge the digital divide or
working to take Internet technology to the less privileged will have
priority in receiving fellowships.
Applications for fellowships are now open and will close on 15th June.
