[apnic-talk] "...the end of my term is somewhat uncertain..."

"Anyway, the end of my term is somewhat uncertain - the annual meeting - being held Dec 14 and 15 in Amsterdam, is the formal end of
my term. However, there are noises in ICANN about extending terms. That has me bothered as I do not feel comfortable with this."

Karl,
It would appear that a complete change of the Board and Staff will be required to move forward.
It seems to me that you can make things more certain, by resigning. As you point out, ICANN is
a small business, and it needs to focus on the basics, such as sending invoices out to all of its
customers, for the /8 leases. As a Board member, you did not seem to focus the company on those
basics. The new Board and Staff have to do that. At $168,000,000 per year per /8, there is a lot
of revenue to collect. There are also many /8s available to be leased. Has China stepped forward to
lease any of those ?
