Iperdome Comments on the White Paper
ATLANTA, June 5 -- After years of debate, and months of
deliberation, the U.S. Government today released their long
awaited Policy Statement on the Management of Internet Names
and Addresses.
Iperdome would like to thank Ira Magaziner, the Department
of Commerce, and the many members of the Inter-Agency Working
Group who have worked so hard on this difficult issue.
Iperdome believes that the White Paper is a vast improvement
over the MoU, and that it validates and addresses many of the
concerns expressed by those who have opposed the IAHC plan.
At the same time, Iperdome has some serious concerns with the
possible results/outcome of "The Transition" as outlined in
the White Paper.
Over the next couple of days, Iperdome will review the details
of the White Paper, then Jay Fenello will present a summary of
these concerns to Congress when he testifies before the House
Committee on Commerce as described below:
