[Apnic-announce] APNIC 24 / SANOG 10 fellowship programme
The 24th APNIC Open Policy Meeting will be held with SANOG 10 in Delhi, India,
from 29 August - 7 September 2007. The APNIC meeting offers an opportunity to
participate in activities and processes that are critical for managing Internet
resources in the Asia Pacific region and globally.
APNIC and SANOG are offering fellowships to provide opportunities for people in
developing countries to attend and participate in the meeting.
Who should apply?
The APNIC 24 / SANOG 10 fellowship programme targets key personnel from Internet
organisations within developing economies, including:
- Personnel responsible for Internet resource management
- Network engineers
- Decision-makers in government, educational, non-government and private sectors
- Educators and trainers
The final grant amount is determined according to final costs and available
funding, and will be advised to successful applicants.
Selection criteria
The fellowship committee will select fellows according to the following criteria:
- Membership of the target audience detailed above
- Residency in the Asia Pacific region
- Demonstrated ability to use the experience gained from the meeting
- Willingness to return to APNIC/SANOG as a presenter or trainer in the future
