APNIC service maintenance
-------------------------

Dear colleagues

On Sunday 13 November, APNIC will transfer critical services to
a co-location facility to increase the robustness of APNIC
services to the community. During this time, some APNIC services
will be unavailable.


Time of transfer

    Date:    Sunday 13 November 2005

    Time:    6:00 - 12:00 Brisbane time (20:00 - 2:00 UTC)

    Web services:  www.apnic.net
                   my.apnic.net
                   icons.apnic.net

                   apia.org
                   apops.net
                   apricot.net
                   pacnog.org


    FTP:           ftp.apnic.net


    DNS:           ns1.apnic.net


Unaffected services
-------------------

    Hong Kong and Japan DNS nodes will remain available throughout
    the transfer.

    Mail servers will also operate normally.


This transfer was originally planned for 25 September 2005, but
was postponed due to circumstances beyond APNIC's control.

We apologise for any inconvenience this transfer of services may cause.
