Dear APNIC members and friends
With APNIC 20 only a few days away, this is a friendly reminder about
last-minute meeting information and some of the services provided for
meeting participants in Hanoi and around the world.

1. Visa requirement
--------------------
We hope all of you have already arranged Vietnamese visa by now (if
required) and are ready to travel to Hanoi. However if you have not
done this yet, please take action quickly as time is running out. Visa
details are available from:

Please remember 2 September 2005 is a national holiday and all official
offices will be closed.
2. Meeting programmes and details

Details of the meeting sessions, policy proposals, and other
presentations are available at:

3. Early onsite registration
----------------------------
If you are arriving early for the meeting, you can save time by
pre-registering at the Melia Hanoi Hotel registration desk on Monday
afternoon.
4. Hostmaster consultation
--------------------------
Members have the opportunity to meet with APNIC Hostmasters during the
meeting to discuss resource requests and registration issues. To book a
Hostmaster consultation session, please register at:

5. Remote participation
--------------------------
APNIC is providing a range of services to help both meeting delegates
and those who cannot attend to get the most out of APNIC 20. These
services include:
* Video streaming and live transcripts
To assist those people who cannot be present Hanoi to
take part in the meeting, and to make proceedings as
accessible as possible, APNIC is providing video
streaming and live transcripts of the following
meeting sessions:
- Open plenary
- IPv6 technical SIG
- Policy SIG
- Database SIG
- DNS operations SIG,
- Routing SIG and
- APNIC Member Meeting
* Jabber chat rooms
Jabber chat rooms will be provided as a further means
of participating in the meeting from anywhere in the
world. Send your comments or questions to the
appropriate Jabber chat rooms and your questions can
be read out at the session while you watch the meeting
proceedings via video streaming or live transcript.
Attendees in Hanoi who would prefer not to ask questions
at the microphone can ask their questions via Jabber
and have them read out during the session by APNIC
Secretariat staff.
6. Helpdesk
------------
Delegates are invited to visit the APNIC helpdesk to learn more about
APNIC's member services and MyAPNIC, or to request a digital certificate
from the APNIC Certification Authority. A MyAPNIC demonstration and
other informational material will also be on display at the helpdesk.
7. Onsite notice board
-----------------------
The Onsite Notice Board can provide meeting delegates with the latest
information on daily meeting events. The information covers meeting
announcements, venue information, and schedules.
