1. Meeting programme
------------------------------
The APNIC 18 programme offers a wide range of activities, including
tutorials, the usual Special Interest Group (SIG) discussions, an opening
plenary, and the APNIC Member Meeting. Details of SIG agendas and other

2. Call for Proposals - final reminder
--------------------------------------
The deadline for accepting proposals at the APNIC 18 SIG meetings has now
passed. Informational presentations can still be accepted. Please send these
to the appropriate SIG chairs as soon as possible. More detailed information
is available at:

3. Meeting sponsorship
------------------------------
Some sponsorship opportunities are still available. In return for their
support, sponsors will be presented with valuable opportunities to expose
their organisation, products, and services to an international audience of
Internet leaders. Details of sponsorship options are available in the

Prospective sponsors are encouraged to send expressions of interest as

4. Accommodation
------------------------------
APNIC has arranged block hotel bookings, providing special discount rates
for meeting delegates at Sheraton Resorts. Please make all reservations
as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. All enquiries about hotel

5. Visitor information
------------------------------
Please be aware that flight schedules to Fiji from some regions are limited.
To avoid last minute frustrations, we strongly recommend that meeting
attendees arrange all flight bookings, accommodation and visas applications
as early as possible. If an invitation letter issued by the local host is
required for visa application purposes, please send your request to
meetings at apnic dot net. Further visitor information about Fiji is also available

Please also note that if your flight route to Fiji takes you through
Australia, you may be required to obtain an Australian transit visa. A
transit visa is required even if a traveller remains on the same
aircraft in the same airport. Information regarding transit visas is

APNIC strongly recommends that you consult your travel agent or local
Australian representative about visa requirements. If you require an
invitation letter from the APNIC Secretariat, please email your request
to meetings at apnic dot net.
6. Hostmaster consultations
------------------------------
Members will be able to meet with APNIC hostmasters during the meeting to
discuss resource requests and registration issues. The hostmaster
consultation timetable will be published on the APNIC 18 meeting website
shortly. Pre-registration for these sessions will also be available.
