APNIC members and friends are invited to attend the APIA-APOPS Joint
Forum 2002. The forum is being held in conjunction with APNIC's 14th
Open Policy Meeting at the Kitakyushu International Conference Center,
2-3 September 2002, and has an Internet security theme.
The forum is open to all and no additional registration is required to
attend it.

Asia & Pacific Internet Association (APIA) is pleased to announce a
two-day seminar/forum co-organized by Asia Pacific Operators Forum
(APOPS). The venue is collocated with 14th APNIC Open Policy Meeting to
be held in Kitakyushu, Japan. Our forums are informative educational
conferences and cover the Internet industry's latest technical and
business issues.
At Kitakyushu, we will discuss the following topics:
- Internet Security, including layer 2 security
Session Leader: Suguru Yamaguchi
- Wireless LAN and Security
Session Leader: Robert Berger
- IPv6, the latest developments
Session Leader: Takashi Arano
- AP IX Operators Forum
Session Leaders: Philip Smith, Akira Kato
The forum should provide the opportunities to gain insight about the
subjects, to exchange information about the operational issues in the
region, as well as to interact with expert presenters. However,
APIA-APOPS Forum 2002 is free and open to anyone who is interested.
As the forum is collocated with the 14th APNIC Open Policy Meeting, the
forum participants will also have an opportunity to join the discussion
on IP address allocation policy.
