EARLY BIRD REGISTRATIONS CLOSING SOON!
To take advantage of the early bird discount for the Open Policy Meeting,
please be sure to register by Friday 27 July 2001.
Early registration assists APNIC greatly in planning for the meeting, and
also provides a considerable saving of on the normal registration fee:

ROUTING WORKSHOP REMINDER - APPLICATIONS CLOSING SOON!
In conjunction with the Open Policy meeting, APNIC is hosting a major
Routing Workshop at The Grand Hotel in Taipei from Wednesday 22 to Sunday 26
August 2001. The workshop will include detailed instruction on how to
design, scale and maintain an Internet Service Provider (ISP) network or
Internet eXchange Point (IXP). The lead instructor, Philip Smith of Cisco
Systems, is one of the most respected Internet engineers in the region.
Places at the workshop are strictly limited and applications should be made
by Wednesday 25 July 2001. The workshop is being provided on a cost-recovery
basis with preference given to APNIC members from developing countries.

We strongly advise that you should make your accommodation reservations at
The Grand Hotel before Friday 27 July 2001. Room availability cannot be
guaranteed after this date, and the preferential room rate for meeting
delegates may not be available.

CALL FOR ADDRESS COUNCIL NOMINATIONS
Nominations of individuals from the Asia Pacific region to serve on the ASO
Address Council, are still open and will close on Tuesday 31 July 2001.
During October 2001, one Asia Pacific Address Council seat will become
vacant, and will be filled for the next three years by an individual
nominated through this open call. The selection process will involve an open
election to be held during the Open Policy Meeting, on 31 August 2001.
