Registration for the APNIC Member Meeting (AMM) and social event is separate
from APRICOT membership. So, if you plan to attend, please remember to

REMINDER: EXECUTIVE COUNCIL NOMINATIONS
Nominations for the APNIC Executive Council close Thursday 15 February. Four
positions on the APNIC Executive Council will be opened for election at the
APNIC Member Meeting. Nominees do not have to be representatives of APNIC
members; however, only APNIC members may make nominations. Members are
welcome to nominate a representative of their own organisation.

ASIA PACIFIC REGIONAL INTERNET CONFERENCE ON OPERATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES
KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

Last year's APRICOT 2000, in Seoul, was the largest technical conference
gathering of Asia Pacific Internet Engineers and Operators so far. The
first APRICOT of the New Millennium, APRICOT 2001 will be held in Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia and is looking to be even more exciting & worthwhile!
Apricot2001 will be hosted by the PIKOM, The Association of the Computer &
Multimedia Industry of Malaysia and the Ministry of Energy, Communications &
Multimedia of Malaysia.
As in the past, the week-long summit will comprise of workshops, tutorials,
conference sessions, Birds of a Feather (BOFs), and other forums, all geared
towards spreading and sharing the knowledge required to operate the Internet
within the Asia Pacific region. Not forgetting of course, exciting social
events have also been planned for this year's
Apricot.
We have lined up some very distinguished speakers from the internet
community including David Isenberg from Isen.com, Prof Jun Murai from KEIO
University of Japan and Tan Sri Dr. Othman Yeop from the Multimedia
Development Corporation of Malaysia. Hot topics covered include:

The Address Supporting Organization (ASO) of ICANN will hold an open meeting
