CALL FOR COMMENTS ON NEW DRAFT FORM
- Provider Independent IP Address Return Form
APNIC has released a new form to cater for the return of Provider
Independent IP addresses and requests for "one-for-one" prefix exchanges.
This new request form, although available for use immediately, is released
as provisional and will remain at draft status for the duration of this
call for comments.
This form has been created for organisations (APNIC members and
non-members) that hold historic Provider Independent IP address ranges
that they no longer require. In addition, this form can also be used by
organisations that hold three or more discontiguous Provider Independent
address ranges and wish to exchange them for a single contiguous range.
This form creates procedural improvements for existing APNIC policies only
and does not create any new rights or obligations.
The form is available at:
http://ftp.apnic.net/apnic/docs/address-return-request
APNIC is pleased to invite your comments to secretariat at apnic dot net by 31
December 1999.

FORM AMENDED
- APNIC Autonomous System Number Request Form
The recent introduction of APNIC's new Autonomous System (AS) request
parser and the web-based AS request form has required a minor amendment to
APNIC-066 "APNIC Autonomous System Number Request Form".
The explanatory notes under the heading "AUT-NUM:" now specify that the
text "THIS-AS" must be included in the aut-num field for correct parsing
of the form. This amendment is procedural only and does not create any new
rights or obligations.
Members who keep a local copy of APNIC forms are advised to download the
amended version from:
http://ftp.apnic.net/apnic/docs/asn-request
This amended version has also been archived at:
http://ftp.apnic.net/apnic/archive/apnic-066-1.txt
If you have any questions or comments about this change, please feel free
