Dear Members
We are pleased to announce that the Autonomous Systems (AS) parser
and web form was publicly activated on Monday 1st November 1999.
>From now on, all syntax parsing and validating of information supplied
in the aut-num request well be done automatically, and errors will
have real-time output.
Our testing of the AS request parser of previous AS requests indicate
that common errors are the invalid syntax in the routing policy defined
in the "as-in" and "as-out" lines and the omission of the mandatory attribute
"mnt-by".
All modification and deletion of APNIC aut-num objects can also
be done with the web form.
The web form is now at:
http://www.apnic.net/db/aut-num.html
Information about the AS request procedure and most common errors output
by the parser is at:
http://www.apnic.net/db/AS.html
All AS requests will be received via the web-form or to the
email address <hostmaster at apnic dot net>.
If you have problems getting through the parser after several
attempts, you can email the AS request to <hostmaster at apnic dot net>
with "[NO-PARSE]" and your APNIC Account name in the Subject line.
We welcome any comments regarding the AS Request, Modification and
Deletion Form.
If you have any questions please feel free to email us at your convenience.
Regards,
APNIC Secretariat.
