Hi Geoff,

 https://stats.labs.apnic.net/rpki/AS1221

What happened to Telstra in March?

I think that this is useful data in terms of feedback to these networks as to how effective their RPKI deployment is.

If AS4608 turns on drop invalids, as you appear to be suggesting here, I for one would loose some aspects of visibility, and while we are all trying to deploy this and make it stable it seems to me to be a real shame if we were blinded from this deployment data at this stage.

All the monitoring tools at APNIC labs are extremely beneficial for the community, that's not even a question.

The question for me is what is the _real_ objective of APNIC dropping invalids and are they other ways to achieve this that does not impair the visibility of measurement tools that we run from within AS4608?

Is it possible to de-couple APNIC services from APNIC labs? Get a separate ASN and v4/v6 subnet for either labs or services? Or APNIC services can peer with AS4608 internally with Private ASN and drop invalids?

Another point is, let's say if all AS4608 upstreams start dropping the invalids then how is it going to impact the labs data collection?  The rationale to drop invalids for APNIC Services is to show members that they have to fix their invalids otherwise they won't be able to access APNIC services.
