If the question were instead "Should people coming from invalid prefixes be able to reach APNIC network services?" I might have a different answer -- but, that's a completely different (and much harder!) question.
That was the actual question, the blog in reference was from the APNIC Member Services team and the whole point was "Practice what you preach" - simple is that. It MUST ONLY be applicable to the member services (access to myapnic) rather Research/Labs, IRR OR Academy. The later services are for the community not exclusive to members. Again, how they implement is not my concern.
