This is the annoucement to withdraw prop-042.

This proposal was announced to the Policy SIG mailing list on 23 January 2007. It did not reach consensus at APNIC 23 and was returned to the mailing list for further discussion. There has been no further discussion on this proposal since that time.

This proposal was not presented at the APNIC 24 Policy SIG. We have discussed the status of this proposal with the author, who has agreed to withdraw the proposal.

Proposal history ----------------

This is a proposal to remove the need to have a plan to make 200 /48 assignments in two years and replace it with a plan to make a reasonable number of assignments in two years.
