Is this to call for the chair or one of co-chairs?
I would like to suggest a process where we will just choose one of chairs and
leave decision of the chair./co-chairs for three chairs. I believe it might be
a little bit tough for unenperienced person to serve the chair from the beginning.,

APNIC seeks a volunteer to serve as a chair for the Policy Special Interest Group (SIG). The duties of the chair are as follows:
- chairing the SIG session,
- developing the agenda,
- being active in moderating discussions on the SIG mailing list
- posting proposals and information about the SIG to the SIG
mailing list

Please include a brief description of your interest and suitability. The deadline for accepting nominations to the position is 23 February 2005.
If there are multiple volunteers there will be an election at the next Policy SIG session on Thursday 24 February 2005 to select the new chair.
All SIG chairs and co-chairs undertake this work on a volunteer basis. APNIC speaks on behalf of the community in being very appreciative of the work done by the chairs and co-chairs.
