APNIC seeks final comments on the following draft document:
- Policies for IPv4 address space management in the Asia Pacific region
The document has been updated to reflect the implementation of two
policy proposals endorsed by the APNIC Executive Council. The changes are
as follows:
- the minimum allocation size is lowered to a /21 and the
criteria for an initial allocation are amended;
- public registration of customer assignments is made optional
by using a 'public' attribute in the APNIC Whois Database.

This draft is intended to implement the consensus decisions reached at
the following meetings:
- APNIC 16 (endorsed by the Executive Council on 20 November 2003)
in relation to proposal prop-007-v001.
- APNIC 17 (endorsed by the Executive Council on 14 May 2004) in
relation to proposal prop-014-v001.

Nature of the document review
This is an editorial review only. The APNIC community has already reached
consensus on the policy issues which are to implemented.
Therefore, during the comment period, interested parties may:
- object to the draft document on the grounds that it does not
properly reflect the consensus decision reached in the Policy
Review Process;
- suggest improvements of any aspect of the document;
- request that an additional call for comment be made to allow
more consideration of substantial revisions.
