This is the announcement to propose to abandon prop-047. Should you have any objection to abandoning this proposal please follow the instruction below.

This policy proposal was submitted on 9 February 2007, after the deadline for policy proposals to be discussed at APNIC 23. Informal discussions on this proposal at APNIC 23 largely did not support this proposal.

The proposal was due for formal presentation at APNIC 24; however, the authors of the proposal declined to present it. Since APNIC 24, we have been unable to get a response from the proposal's authors.

Based on the absence of community support for this proposal and the lack of response from the proposal authors when we have contacted them, we propose to abandon "prop-047: eGLOP multicast address assignments".

If you object to abandoning this proposal, please send an email to the Policy SIG mailing list by Friday 21 December 2007. If there are no objections by that date, this proposal will be officially abandoned.
