Good afternoon,

Back in February, before the apnic meeting in Singapore, InternetNZ expressed opposition to prop-105:

This opposition was based on the position that additional small allocations would not make a material difference to operators anyway even delay IPv6 adoption plans.

In the months since then through regular interactions with New Zealand operators and other members of the NZ internet community we are now confident that prop-105, if accepted, will not significantly delay implementation of IPv6 within our region.

Furthermore there is a clear message from NZ operators requesting additional IPv4 addresses while operators work as quickly as possible through IPv6 adoption plans.

In light of these clear messages, InternetNZ rescinds its previous opposition to prop-105, and looks forward to discussing at the OPM how this proposal might be able to provide additional IPv4 resources to APNIC members.
