I perfectly understand the reason behind that text, and totally agree that
it was fine at that time. However, I think is the time to remove it.
I don't really think there is a need to review the complete policy, as there
have been already, in all the regions, several variations to the original
"common" policy.
So my view is that this "review" has been done already in a natural and step
by step way.
May be if you have concerns about any specific points in the existing
policy, it will be good to openly discuss them ?

Asunto: Re: [sig-policy] prop-043: Proposal to remove reference to IPv6 policy
document as an "interim" policy document
hi Jordi,
The reason why the editorial team of IPv6 policy put "interim"
on this document was that we needed more experiences
to make it firm as the long-use IPv6 policy at that time.
In that sense, maybe it is the time we remove "interim" from
the current 5-6 year-old policy.
But if that case, we should review the whole policy conditions
one by one, which means "Revising the policy" with the deep
consideration of balancing the conditions, not just removing
the word of interim.
With this point of view, your other proposals raised up this time
need more detailed analysis to make us understand the effect of
changing conditions.
I do NOT deny your proposals. But we should be very careful when
relaxing the conditions.
regards,
Kosuke
