Dear NIR SIG members,
I hope you are looking forward to the NIR SIG session at APNIC 27 in
Manila.
For the first time, APNIC is trialling a web conference system (Dimdim)
at the NIR SIG and you are invited to join it.
This system allows you to participate LIVE! in the NIR SIG remotely
particularly if you cannot attend APNIC 27 in person.
To access this system, please follow the instructions listed below:
Step 1
Make sure your favourite web browser has the latest Adobe Flash Player
plugin installed.
Step 2
Go to this URL:
http://dimdim.meetings.apnic.net/portal/JoinForm.action?meetingRoomName=nirs...
Step 3
In the Meeting Room text box, enter "nirsig" and in the Enter Name text
box, type your "name".
Step 4
The system will check your web browser's compatibility. Once the
compatibility test is passed, you will then be taken to the NIR SIG web
conference room.
If your PC has a web camera, you may activate it through Dimdim for a
two-way video conference. Please note that the two-way video may or may
not work depending on the bandwidth capacity available at Manila.
However, once you are in the NIR SIG web conference room, you should be
able to view the webcast, open the presentaion slides, if available,
and at the same time, ask questions or make comments through the
in-built live chat.
If you have any queries, please email them to sunny@apnic.net for
assistance.
So, why not take advantage of this trial and join the NIR SIG at APNIC
27. You can be a part of these interesting discussions.
Kind regards
Izumi Okutani, Billy Cheon, Ching-Heng Ku
