Dear friends from the APNIC community,

As you know, Cooperation SIG is a forum to discuss broader Internet issues like cyberpolicy and Internet governance. Its purpose is to promote cooperation between the APNIC community and the wider technical and non-technical Internet communities. For example:

During APNIC 50, we discussed legal interception of telecommunications and how law enforcement and ISPs interact.

During APNIC 49, we talked about how recent efforts in developing “cybernorms” can support incident response capabilities and prevent cross-jurisdictional conflicts.

During APNIC 48, we discussed how network operators and CSIRTs cooperate to tackle abuses online and how to resolve the attribution challenge.

We look forward to our next session during APRICOT 2021 / APNIC 51, scheduled on Monday 1st of March at 7:15am UTC.

We are suggesting this session during APNIC 51 to be about the role of network operators during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are therefore seeking expressions of interest to participate in this session, to bring examples of how the APNIC community has cooperated with the health sector and how network operators have adapted their businesses facing the pandemic.

If you are interested to speak in this session or have a recommendation of possible speakers, please do answer this invitation by sending a note to the Cooperation-SIG mailing list. You are welcome to subscribe here:
