Hi everyone, quick update on the event happening in Taipei in Late June, we
had 2 meetings that's worth to update to you all.
The first one is the Taiwan Open Policy Meeting, the second one was the
Network Operators Group, they go side by side, for the two days it was
filled with more engaged audiences who interact with topics on policy as
well as practice, both forums had touched discussion on cooperation, this
special interest group we are with, really deserve lots of attention and we
also see expanded interests.
Other than the local speakers, we were honored to invite the excellent guest
speakers from APNIC: Che-Hoo Cheng, who comes from a vast experience and
share with the audience on his technical experience, George Kuo shared the
mechanism and impact on the open policy, and Aftab Siddiqui gives so many
real examples to the community, they all got great feedback from their
attractive talk. The APNIC supports on the events were so much appreciated
and it truly gave the audience more insights from different angles.
For the two days, we talked about DNSSEC, RPKI, IPV6, many great discussion
and of course, the one important things was on cooperation, we had a
cooperation session with 3 speakers comning from 3 very diversify areas
(military, finance and research) and we try to give different flavor on
their own perspectives, trying to tight the cooperation together is our
goal, isn't it?
It was good to see such events happened and I'd like to encourage you who
may be running similar activity around the world to let us know how are the
cooperation SIG doing and we can support each other regardless the physical
location!
My best regards,
Joy
