Hello all, and greetings in the New year 2017
Just a quick update that PacNOG 20 and PacNOG 21 dates have been penciled in
by the trainers as follows
PacNOG 20: JUL 03-07, 2017
PacNOG 21: DEC 04-08, 2017
We missed out PNG in July last year and promised to return this year, so we
will be happy to hear from our friends in PNG on discussing plans to have
PacNOG 20 in PNG. Feel free to email me on this and suggestions.
On topics, this is an open aspect where members can discuss and raise their
needs on priority topics to be considered in the PacNOG conference, tutorial
and workshops/hands-on training. The typical ones have been on IP Routing,
Peering & Transits, Network Monitoring and Management, Internet Security,
while also open to emerging topics such as Cloud and Virtualisation, and
others that could also be considered. Comments and inputs are welcome.
Train the Trainers: volunteers from Pacific Island countries to be
considered for assisting in the training or for in-country training visit
are welcome. Feel free to send me your proposal on topics that you wish to
be considered for and I'll get back to you for specifics and to discuss with
trainers
Meanwhile all the best wishes for the 2017, for successful projects, job
promotions and developments

Just a reminder that APRICOT 2017 begins in around one month from now,
and that we still have some presentation opportunities available!
If you or a colleague would like to present something of interest and
relevant at APRICOT 2017, be it a conference talk or a tutorial, or host
a BoF, please submit on-line at:

The deadline for submissions is 30th January, as we mentioned in the
CfP. However we are filling presentation slots on a first come first
served basis, so if you would like to ensure your place on the programme
please submit your presentation asap.
