Some of you may recall back in late 2006 we ran an international poll on
MTA's, where over a period of several months and 12 and half thousands
voters later, Sendmail was declared king, followed by Qmail, then Exim
then Postfix, Exchange and some lesser know immaterials ...
Well folks we have wiped the ol one clean and asking for votes again as
alot may have changed in nearly 2 years, If you want to case your vote,
feel free to at http://polls.ausics.net/v3.php
All the best.

Application Round Opens for Mexico City Meeting Fellowships
Program supports global representation at ICANN's International Public Meetings
18 September 2008
MARINA DEL REY, Calif.: The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers has launched its latest round of fellowship program applications for its 34th International Public Meeting to be held in Mexico City from 1-6 March 2009.
"ICANN is a global organization and our work touches every country on the planet," said Theresa Swinehart , ICANN's Vice President, Global and Strategic Partnerships. "Our fellowship program ensures that as many countries as possible can take part in the ICANN meeting and in the variety of public forums that will be held."
An example of the diversity supported by the Fellowship program is the upcoming meeting in Cairo. At that meeting there will be 30 fellows from 25 countries, chosen from 89 applications received. There are 12 fellowship alumni, 11fellows are first-time attendees to an ICANN meeting and the remaining 7 have attended past meetings, but are first time fellows.
Priority is given to applicants who are current residents of developing and least developed nations and interested in participating in ICANN and its supporting organizations, such as the Governmental Advisory Committee, the Country Code Names Supporting Organization, and the Generic Names Supporting Organization. The fellowship will assist in covering airfare, hotel and a stipend. Recipients will be expected to actively participate in and contribute to ICANN processes. As always, registration for ICANN's meetings is free for anyone wanting to attend.
Applications for Mexico City will be accepted from now until 1200 PDT (UTC -7) on 27 October. More information, as well as a link to the application for a fellowship, is available online at: http://www.icann.org/en/fellowships/ <http://www.icann.org/en/fellowships>

IPv6 Penetration Survey: Seeking global input
________________________________________________________________________
The American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), in cooperation with
the Cooperative Association for Internet Data Analysis (CAIDA), is
conducting a new survey to gather data regarding current and future use
of IPv6.
We have expanded the scope of the survey to seek IPv6 penetration data
from around the world. We cordially invite and encourage all
organizations in the AfriNIC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC, and RIPE NCC regions
to participate in the survey so we can establish a comprehensive view of
present IPv6 penetration and future plans for IPv6 deployment. The
survey will open on 8 September and remain available until 17:00 EDT on
1 October.
The results of the survey will be presented and discussed at the ARIN
XXII Public Policy and Members Meeting to be held in Los Angeles, CA,
15-17 October 2008. Additionally, the summary results will be shared
with all the RIRs for further distribution within their respective
regions. The survey data will support ongoing research.
The survey is composed of 22 questions that can be answered in a few
minutes. This is a secure survey and all data will be presented in
summary form only, and kept confidential between ARIN and CAIDA. When
you complete the survey you will be entered in a drawing for prizes, one
raffle per RIR region. You must provide your contact information to win.
Please take a few moments to complete the survey located at:
