I've heard anecdotal reports on a fault in the Southern Cross fibre
link. Can anyone confirm this or provide a useful reference link?

Dear APNIC members and friends,
For the first time, APNIC will webcast the “Internet Resource
Management Essentials” (IRME) training course, live from the APNIC
office, on 29th May 2006 from 10:00AM to 04:30PM (UTC+10).
IRME is a one-day course designed for Internet professionals. It is
aimed particularly at those responsible for administering and
managing Internet resources, including IP managers, senior
hostmasters and network engineers. By webcasting it live, we hope to
make it easier than ever before for our members and the broader
community to participate in APNIC training.
Best of all, joining the training webcast is free. There is no need
to register in advance - just set aside the time to watch the
webcast. You will also be able to use a chat interface on the APNIC
web site to ask live questions and get immediate responses from the
trainers.
More information about the IRME training course is available at:
http://www.apnic.net/training/courses/irm-e.html
The webcast will be available from 10:00AM (UTC+10) on 29 May 2006 at
the following link:

Hi all,
Has anyone got a listing for TCNZ or Global Gateway Looking Glass? Maybe
a listing of all PACNOG related sites would be helpful.
Apologies as Google has not been able to help me thus far on this.

Hi,
Does anyone know how we can control bandwidth via a BRAS using Radius? Do
you know of any free radius servers which can support CoA or "Radius Push"?
or is there any other way.
The scenario will be where a broadband user has exceed their data quota of x
gb and then we rate them to 64k.
Thanks in advance

We use the same setup at the moment (with 3/2 down/up) but I was
wondering if we could increase the length of the V.35 link so
we can move the router to our computer room from the earth station for
ease of maintenance, etc.
I look through the blackbox site and they had converters, extenders, etc
but with max of 2mbps.

Hi All
Yes, here in the Cook Islands we have recently started our WiFi hotspot
service in the capital (rarotonga), to simplify the administration we
only offer prepaid access where a user will purchase prepaid cards which
have the access code printed on it. At the moment we have 4 hotspots (2
in town area + 2 resorts) and are soon to deploy additional sites
including the airport.
Pricing is based only on volume of data transferred, but accounts expire
30 days after activation. Pricing as follows (NZ dollars):
100MB $15.00
300MB $36.00
500MB $50.00
800MB $64.00
Cheers
Rob.
