We will be having an INNOG Tech Session on Fastnetmon
<https://github.com/pavel-odintsov/fastnetmon> on *7th Aug from 4 pm to
5:30 pm* IST. For those who are not aware - Fastnetmon is open-source
software that can detect and act when DoS or DDoS attacks are happening. It
supports various mechanisms to feed data about traffic flows like Netflow,
port mirror etc.
The session will be conducted by our guest Pavel Odintsov who is the lead

APNIC 52 - Call for Papers open now (Deadline extended)
The APNIC Program Committee (PC) is now seeking presentations for the
APNIC 52 online-only conference scheduled for September 2021. The PC are
looking for content that would suit technical sessions.
Please note, the PC is working to early deadlines so the APNIC
conference program can be announced early.

Topics for conference sessions must be relevant to Internet operations
and technologies. For possible areas of topics and submission details,

retain a limited number of slots up to the final submission deadline
for presentations that are exceptionally timely, important, or of
critical operational importance.

In response to feedback from operational security communities,
CAIDA's source address validation measurement project
(https://spoofer.caida.org) is automatically generating monthly
reports of ASes originating prefixes in BGP for systems from which
we received packets with a spoofed source address.
We are publishing these reports to network and security operations
lists in order to ensure this information reaches operational
contacts in these ASes.

Greetings SANOG community.
We are pleased to announce SANOG-37 to be hosted by LKNOG, SriLanka from
12th to 19th July 2021. SANOG-37 will be an Online event along with
physical local presence to make it a hybrid event, if current covid
situation in SriLanka is manageable at that time.
Our program committee will soon publish a call for paper to reach out to
greater participation in the event. Looking forward to active participation
