CCAOI and ISOC Delhi invites you to an interactive webinar on the TRAI
consultation paper on Review of Scope of Infrastructure Providers Category-I
(IP-I) Registration
(https://main.trai.gov.in/sites/default/files/CP_NSL_Infra_16082019.pdf), on
Tuesday 26 September from 11:00 AM - 12:00 noon (IST).
Presently, the IP-I can provide passive infrastructure such as Dark Fibers,
Right of Way, Duct space and Towers on lease/ rent out/sale basis only to
licensed telecom service providers as per the mutually agreed terms and
condition. However, unlike licensed telecom service providers IP-I cannot
create and share active infrastructure.
The objective of the consultation paper is to seek public comments on the
enhancement of IP-I registration scope for promoting and incentivizing the
deployment of common sharable, passive as well as active infrastructure. The
last date to submit comments is 30 September.
The aim of this briefing is to provide more clarity to the participants on
the subject and the issues critical to be discussed with reference to the
consultation, while highlighting issues that are important for the growth
and proliferation of internet in the country.
The 60 mins webinar will have representatives from industry and experts
sharing their perspective (40mins), followed by interactive discussion (15
mins). This will be a one hour session where the experts would be sharing
their perspective on the paper (40 mins), followed by an interactive
discussion (15 mins). The tentative format of the discussion would be:

. Experts (Anjali Hans, Vodafone Idea; Debashish Bhattacharya,BIF;

In response to feedback from operational security communities,
CAIDA's source address validation measurement project
(https://spoofer.caida.org) is automatically generating monthly
reports of ASes originating prefixes in BGP for systems from which
we received packets with a spoofed source address.
We are publishing these reports to network and security operations
lists in order to ensure this information reaches operational
contacts in these ASes.
