[bhutan-nog] 4th BhutanNOG starts on Monday

Hello everyone, Not long now until BhutanNOG 4 starts! On Monday next week to be exact. :-) The conference takes place all day on Monday 5th. The two workshops run from Tuesday 6th until Friday 9th. I'm looking forward to seeing you all there. If you haven't already registered for either the conference or the workshops or both, please do so asap by contacting our conference host, Bhutan Telecom, on 02 343434 extn 1803. [bhutan-nog] About ISPCP/ICAAN

Dear Friends in Bhutan I am Suman Lal Pradhan, Immediate Past President of Internet Service Provider Association of Nepal (ISPAN). >From last year, I am regularly participating ISPCP (Internet Service Provider and Connectivity Provider) consitiuency meeting of ICAAN. As, I see less participation from our region, my request is to visit http://www.ispcp.info and apply for the membership. No cost involve in registration and you can participate to the meeting even remotely. ISPCP is very good platform to keep your self updated about the technical as well as policy level development going on with ICAAN activities. Dear Philip, Good to hear from you and thank you for your suggestions.Glad to know that there are people who actually visit our website because through our experience,it turned out to be otherwise :) We tried to email the 'btnog' list but looks like its a closed group. Anyway the BtCIRT can be made a part of the mailing list? Regarding the presentation at the next BhutanNOG,we regret to inform that this year we might not be able to participate since BtCIRT consultants will be in the country during your event and internal training will be going on. Since its been only a year after the team's establishment, there are also less information and statistics to present in the forum. However, we will surely be participating in the following year. Hi btCIRT, Thanks and good to know; any medium (fb or your own webpage bulletins) is good enough as long as the information reaches the community. It is my fault that I do not follow your fb page. May be you could have security bulletins on your webpage since the site might be the first one people visit to learn about newer threats. Hi Folks, We might want to rally Windows users (anything older than Windows 10) to update their systems and their AV tools to make sure this ransomware does not affect Bhutanese users (esp govt agencies who are dependent on older windows OS).
