General survey about situation of website blocking in your country/economy <by July 10th>

Dear apops members, JPNIC - Japan Network Information Center is now soliciting your input about the situation of website blocking all over the world, especially from the viewpoint of copyright infringement. In order to cope with vicious infringements, the Japanese government is considering countermeasures including the legislation of website blocking, alleging that blocking technologies are already being operated in many countries and regions of the world(*). JPNIC wants to grasp the real situation of the world. SAFNOG-4 + EANOG, tzNOG & TISPA Meeting Announcement

It gives me great pleasure to announce that SAFNOG-4, in collaboration with EANOG (East Africa Network Operators Group) and tzNOG (Tanzania Network Operators Group), and hosted by TISPA (Tanzania Internet Service Providers Association) will be held between the 24th - 29th September, 2018, in the warm and sunny city of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. What is exciting about this year's SAFNOG meeting is that it will be partnering with EANOG and tzNOG, to include both plenary and workshop sessions during the week, as part of the agenda. The main plenary meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency Dar Es Salaam hotel between 24th - 26th September, while the the workshop will be held at the Bank of Tanzania building between 26th - 29th September, 2018.
