The registry team at APNIC will begin work on an APNIC Registry API in 2022. This API will support the retrieval of delegation information, as well as the management of Whois records, reverse DNS records, ROAs and routes. By using this API, APNIC account holders will be able to automate repetitive processes and integrate more effectively with IP address management (IPAM) products, among other things.

In preparation for this work, the registry team has developed a testbed that can be used to evaluate the API's interface. The draft OpenAPI specification is available at https://registry-testbed.apnic.net/registry-api/openapi.yaml. If you would like access to the testbed, please mail software@apnic.net and we will organise a testbed account for you. The testbed is open to anybody who is interested, so there's no need to be associated with an existing APNIC account or similar.
