APNIC welcomes new IPv4 address space availability ________________________________________________________________________

The APNIC Executive Council (EC) welcomes recent changes to IPv4 address transfers, following approval by the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) of an IPv4 transfer policy between the ARIN and APNIC regions.

Inter-regional IPv4 transfers are now possible providing a willing source can be located.

The APNIC EC also welcomes the first returns of recovered IPv4 address blocks to the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) after a global policy was approved by each RIRs' community policy forum.
