________________________________________________________________________ ASO AC Calls for Nominations for Seat 10 on the ICANN Board of Directors ________________________________________________________________________ In line with the ASO Memorandum of Understanding and the ICANN Bylaws, the Address Supporting Organization Address Council (ASO AC) is calling for nominations for Seat 10 on the ICANN Board of Directors. The selected candidate will serve for a three-year term, which will begin at the conclusion of the ICANN Annual General Assembly to be held during the ICANN 75 Meeting, scheduled for September 2022. Eligibility requirements ------------------------ All nominated candidates must meet the selection criteria and conflict of interest requirements as outlined in Article 7 of the ICANN Bylaws and will undergo a due diligence review by an independent ICANN contractor. https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/governance/bylaws-en/#article7 Nomination process ------------------ Community members are invited to submit their nominations by email to nominations [at] aso [dot] icann [dot] org by Wednesday, 1 December 2021 at 23:59 UTC. Nominations must include the following information: - Full name of the person being nominated - Contact email address of the person being nominated - Contact telephone number (if available) of the person being nominated - Full name of the person making the nomination - Contact email address of the person making the nomination - Contact telephone number of the person making the nomination Regional restrictions --------------------- The ICANN Bylaws state that no two directors selected by a Supporting Organization can reside in the same geographic region. The current ASO AC selection for Seat 9, Alan Barrett, resides in the AFRINIC region. Therefore, nominations for Seat 10 will not be accepted from candidates residing in the AFRINIC region. ________________________________________________________________________ Online voting for 2021 SIG elections and IANA RC election open today ________________________________________________________________________ Online voting for the Special Interest Groups (SIG) elections and IANA Review Committee (IANA RC) election open today, Tuesday, 14 September 2021. Election process ---------------- The entire election is being conducted electronically. No ballot papers will be used. Voting will be conducted on the BigPulse platform, which was used earlier this year for the APNIC EC election. To vote, login to MyAPNIC and click the ‘Vote Now’ link on the dashboard. This will give you access to the BigPulse voting interface. https://my.apnic.net Voting eligibility ------------------ Online voting is available to APNIC 52 conference attendees who meet the voting eligibility criteria. Individuals wishing to vote as conference attendees must fulfil the following criteria before voting at the conference: 1. Registered for APNIC 52 by 10:00 (UTC +8) on Tuesday, 14 September 2021, AND 2. Registered and attended at least one of the eight previous APNIC meetings (APNIC 51-44). Online voting for eligible registered attendees opens on Tuesday, 14 September 2020 at 12:00 (UTC +8) and closes at 14:00 (UTC +8) on Thursday, 16 September 2021.
