[Wg-ipv6-guide] [sig-policy] DOCUMENT UPDATE: IPv6 guidelines (fwd)
Dear All,
As you may have noticed APNIC has published the IPv6 guidelines document
as per the announcement from the Secretariat on Friday. From this I have
two questions for the group (especially for the chairs)..
1. Shall we now close the group, given that the work is completed?
This is the usual practice for working groups at APNIC and to be
initiated by the chair(s).
2. In view of the active discussions on the RIPE and global-v6
mailing lists, I wonder if it is worth posting this announcement
to the global-v6 list for information. Much of the discussion has
been about clarifying wording as well as discussing the actual
policy. I leave this with someone from the group to post if they
think worthwhile.
Look forward to hearing from you,
thanks,
Anne

DOCUMENT UPDATE: IPv6 guidelines
____________________________________________________________________
Dear colleagues,
The APNIC Secretariat has now published the document "APNIC guidelines
for IPv6 allocation and assignment requests".
The document describes a set of guidelines which is intended to help
people in the Asia Pacific region understand the current IPv6 policy and
the way APNIC evaluates requests for allocations and assignments of IPv6
address space.
The document is available at:
http://www.apnic.net/docs/policy/ipv6-guidelines.html
Many thanks are due to the IPv6 guidelines working group who contributed
the text for this document.
Best regards
APNIC Secretariat
