Re: [Wg-ipv6-guide] (ToC11) Database Registration

Ahmad,

 | Is it possible to also put the registration of IP Address (minimum/a 48)
 | must be done first before they can register for Reverse Delegation. This is
 | to ensure the registration & utilisation of IP Address that are allocated
 | to them.

In IPv6, setting up the reverse delegation is not mandatory (The IPv6
address policy says that reverse lookup must be delegated 'upon
request' at the section 5.6). So I think this can promote the
registration, but cannot ensure it.

 | BTW, on the IPv6, what is the minimum size for each Reverse Delegation (i.e
 | in IPv4 is a /24) ?

IPv6 PTR records have nibble boundary, so it can naturally delegate
with that boundary. From the viewpoint of address policy (not from the
technical point of view), I think the minimum delegation size can be
/48.

Yours sincerely,
