Hi Billy, MH Billy Cheon said the following on 17/1/07 18:33: > > To sovle this, it is proposed that members of NIRs would pay > annual fees to APNIC according to the same fee structure > as regular members, but with an overall discount of 50% > in recognition of services provided by the NIR. Do NIR members receive 50% less services from APNIC than APNIC's LIR members do? > That is to say, NIR's members made a contract with NIR, not with APNIC > then, it doesn't make sense to apply APNIC membership fee structure on > NIR's members. I don't see the connection between the two. Can you possibly explain? I'm trying to understand what is wrong with: - all LIRs and NIR members paying a flat fee for APNIC services - NIR members pay the NIRs for the value the NIRs provide The position of the NIRs so far seems to be that APNIC members have to subsidise the NIR membership. Isn't this unfair? philip --
