geoff,

first, thanks for writing an internet draft.  if the ietf had said it
could and would actually get an iana allocation in a reasonable
time-frame, e.g. end of year, then i doubt the authors of prop-61 would
have submitted in the first place.

but i prefer to leave turning what should have been a simple and
friendly discussion between the folk who speak for the ietf, e.g. dave
ward, jari arko, et alia, and apnic policy folk into a constitutional
crisis to the traditional experts in creating constitutional crises,
e.g. klensin and crocker.

it would seem reasonable to ask the apnic secretariat to stall a bit in
implementing prop-061 to give the ietf a bit of time to run their
process.  is prop-61 of sufficient urgency that a couple of months of
delay (end of oct to end of year) would be a real problem?  would anyone
have a problem with stalling a bit?
